Blog Post #4

When I think of Frankenstein, I think of a giant man-like monster with jet black hair. He has a large head and a really big forehead. His eyes are black and his skin is green. There are bolts of some sort protruding from his neck, and there are stitches and scars where he was sown together. In Mary Shelley's book, the monster is described as having proportional limbs with yellowish skin that is almost transparent. The arteries and the muscles are barely hidden underneath it. His face was shriveled up and he had black lips. Which would most likely be dead tissue. In the movie, Frankenstein,  the monster is like I described above. He or it, in the movie, seems more "human." By human I mean that has more human-like features. He isn't a deformed being. I feel like the name Frankenstein is tied to the monster mainly from the movie, Frankenstein. I know from my own personal experience, I always thought the monsters name was actually Frankenstein. I did not know that it was in fact nameless until I read Mary Shelley's novel.
