Does money create monsters? No, money itself does not create monsters, however, greed can create monsters. When someone desires excessive amounts of money for selfish reasons, this can create monsters. Where that someone then does horrible things to achieve great quantities of wealth and money for themselves, then they have become a monster from their own greed.
A great non-fictional example of this would be American slave owners of the past, it was greed that led them to their monstrosity. Their want for excessive amounts of money and wealth: bigger plantations, nicer things, more crops, etc. caused them to become monstrous. This led to believing that an entire group of people were property, an object, a tool to help these monsters make more and more money. And the more and more these people made for themselves, the worse and worse they treated these people. Not just making them work all day in the blistering heat, but they had poor nutrition, shelter, and living environments, even when they were captured and brought to America was a terrible experience, but then to get here and be treated like an object must have been the worst. These people shaped and molded by greed, definitely became monsters for it, monsters who are going to be remembered for terrible actions, for a very long time.
