No face man as a monster, nobody likes him. he first show up when Chihiro pass the bridge. he wears a smiling mask without face. when it rains, Chihiro see no face man stand outside the house in the rain, Chihiro invites no face man to get in. This is the moment no face man fall in love with chihiro.One scene, no face man appeared in the tub, when the frog man was checking, the frog man ask no face man get out of here, because it is closing time, at this moment, some gold drop down, the frog man immediately being friendly and show respect to no face man.No face man said " put warm water to the tub". Frog man obviously did that immediately. No face man realize the importance of gold. No face man stayed in the hotel and keep eating, he can gave gold to the waitress. So waitress let him stay though he is a huge monster. when next time, the no face man met Chihiro, he siad "i am so lonely, i can give you gold" however this is what Chihiro want. No face man thought Chihiro will like gold and will also like him because of the gold. At the beginning no face man is not greedy, because of people around him showed greed to his gold, no face man can tell this will change people how they treat himself, however he can not get love from Chihiro. At the end, Chihiro let no face man eat the pill, and he throw up all the things he eat. 

Unfortunately, love is not only giving gold to Chihiro. no face man as a special character in this movie is a symbol of emptiness and loneliness, he is not a bad monster, but revel the greed of people. people will treat him differently by the money. it happens to reality all the time. Actually greed is the monster.
