There are different aspects between
the literature classic Frankenstein figure and monster and the actually
Frankenstein in the Centuries of 90’s or now days expressing distinctive topics
regarding the Monster society. For the origins of this monster created by the
novel by Mary Shelley that indeed, she displayed the fears, and the problematic
such as French Revolution and lastly the Industrial Revolution, and the
unstable connections as a family, where on the novel illustrate that situation.
In the other hand, we have the movie of “The Monster Squad” where, now the hold
scenario is different and there are more esthetic scary details, specifically
on the creature or monster such as in this case is Frankenstein.
On the novel, I feel that the main
problems of Robert Walton were transcendent by Frankenstein, where R. Walton
had struggles or problems such as feeling lonely, depress, and demolishing
moments such as an spectrum, no to mention that Frankenstein was not mentioned
as a clear figure instead, they described like an exotic body with a
difference, having an ugly moments much larger than a monster, focusing the
historical contexts and the hold monstrosity. To have a closest appearance or
thinking deeply regarding of how Victor Frankenstein assemble the monster by
gathering elements on a charnel-house and dissecting rooms (p.173), but we
still don’t know the main details of that assembly and still a mystery of a
physical figure, we certainly, can say that those places were really ugly and
monstrosity.
Now, thanks to the recent movies we
have a clear physical image of what Frankenstein looks like. Well, I have a
clear example and this example is the Movie “The Monster Squad” and it’s a
clear example how Frankenstein plays a huge function on the movie, not only
because it’s a monster, and I also noticed based upon feeling sad, depressed
and lonely, he saves the world and also obtains a really good friend that is a
little girl. The plot of this movie is the monster tradition that every
millennium Dracula and other monsters, such as the mummy, werewolf, fish men,
and Frankenstein revive to be able to stay forever in the real world, but
thanks to the Monster Squad and Frankenstein the monsters sent back to the
unreal world, and the world it save thanks by a family and bunch of kids.
For my point of view, I feel that
the novel was different from 1818, and recent movies that describes a specific
pattern and with huge details, describing the traditional figures such as
Frankenstein on the movies from the 90’s such as the monsters squads. There are
aspects that we enable to mention or describe at that time that now set the
interesting things of monster. Therefore, I think the scenario and time
involves on the monstrosity and how we talk about it without any depression or
conflict, now the conflict it is just the monster.
