9/28 Assignment: the Modern Werewolves

Since we are know that the werewolves only transform from human beings to wolves in the night when the moon is a full circle, which means they are normal people in daytime like us.

This similar characteristic reminds me a name--Jack, or Tyler Durden from the movie Fight Club. Jack is a schizophrenics. When he is conscious, he is Jack, a ordinary officer worker working for a automobile company, locking into insomnia. But when his another personality appears, he become a genius leader of an underground fight club. He trained his club member into an army and planned to rebuild the whole American by destructing it first. It sounds like accurately the same with werewolf. For Jack, the identity "Jack" is like the human identity of a werewolf in ordinary days. And when he turned into "Tyler Durden", it's like the werewolf meets a full moon--he transformed into another shape. Coincidently, like a werewolf, Jack become more powerful after "transformed". In the movie we can easily acquire the cognition that Tyler is much more stronger than Jack physically and mentally. Just like what we all know that after werewolves transformed, they turn out to skillful hunter that are far more agile than human beings.

What's more interesting that make Jack more like a modern werewolf is they are both solitary. On account of their monster identity, werewolves can never have an intimate friend. And so as Jack. He's only friend is Tyler. They create fight club together, live together, steal dumped human fat together. But in fact, Tyler is Jack himself. What he did with Tyler actually were done by him alone.

To go deeper, Tyler is invasive and devastating like werewolf. Besides, he also represents the dark side of humanity. He used to  hide deeply in the bottom of Jack's heart when Jack was pretending to act like a ordinary people. However, as Jack was stuck in insomnia, he could no longer track Tyler anymore. The beast in his soul was released. So he did a bunch of striking events. Just as a transformed werewolf.

Then I soon get the inspiration that actually werewolves and human are exactly the same--both of the two groups of creatures have their dark side, but the natural savagery are camouflaged under the skin of human figure. Werewolves are werewolves because they meet their full moon. Are we Human beings are still human beings just after we meet our "full moon"s?
